A date that looks wrong

This is the most useful email you can send, and it is worth sending even if you are not sure. It helps to include:

• the page you were on, or a link to it,
• the date that looks wrong, and what you think it should be,
• a source that says otherwise, if you have one.

If a date is wrong, it is fixed on the page where it appeared, and the page says what changed. Nothing is corrected quietly. Some dates are genuinely disputed, and then the page says so rather than picking a side. Where the dates come from explains how they are checked.

Reusing what you find here

You usually do not need to ask. The dates and labels are public domain, so use them freely. The crowd figures can be reused with credit. Terms has the detail, and if your case is not covered there, write.

Questions about privacy are welcome. Privacy probably answers them already, and if it leaves something unclear, write. So are ideas for pairings: two moments you think belong side by side. None is promised a place, but all of them are read.
